Road Closures and Detours

As Big Shift construction crews dig trenches in order to lay new hot water pipes, there will be road closures and detours for vehicles, bikes and pedestrians. 

Active closures

Current areas impacted by closures to bike, vehicular and pedestrian traffic are: 

  • NEW CLOSURE - Sprocket Bikeway near Regan Hall Circle (June 15 to July 10, 2026)
  • NEW CLOSURE - Segundo Services Center and Bike Paths (June 15 to August 21, 2026)

Other closures

As Big Shift crews work around Lot 25, the parking lot adjacent to the Activities and Recreation Center, a concurrent construction project is active making improvements to the lot and resulting in an extended closure of the lot. Learn more about the project and find closure details.

  • Lot 25 closed to general parking (June 15 to September 11, 2026)

Tips for Using the Map

Sprocket Bikeway, Regan Hall Circle | June 15 to July 10, 2026

Portions of Sprocket Bikeway near Regan Hall Circle are closed to through traffic between June 15 and July 10, 2026. Bike traffic will be directed around the closure to reconnect with Sprocket Bikeway via Lot 25.

Bike Detours

Sprocket Bikeway (June 15 to July 10, 2026)

Bike traffic on Sprocket Bikeway is being directed around a closure near Regan Hall Circle via Lot 25 (the parking lot near the ARC). The detour connects Sprocket Bikeway near the Segundo Dining Commons loading dock to Student Housing Administration Building.

Segundo Services Center and Bike Paths (June 15 to August 21, 2026)

Portions of the bike paths in and around Segundo will be closed to bike and pedestrian traffic. Utilize alternate routes to avoid closures.

Vehicular Detours

No active vehicular detours.

Pedestrian Detours

Sprocket Bikeway (June 15 to July 10, 2026)

Pedestrians are being directed around a closure of Sprocket Bikeway near Regan Hall Circle via Lot 25 (the parking lot near the ARC).

Segundo Services Center and Bike Paths (June 15 to August 21, 2026)

Portions of the bike paths in and around Segundo will be closed to bike and pedestrian traffic. Utilize alternate routes to avoid closures.
