Road Closures and Detours

As Big Shift construction crews dig trenches in order to lay new hot water pipes, there will be road closures and detours for vehicles, bikes and pedestrians.
Putah Creek Lodge Drive and nearby paths (through winter 2027)
Construction impacts
- Road closure: A portion of Putah Creek Lodge Drive, south of the intersection with La Rue Road is closed to all traffic.
- Putah Creek Lodge Parking Lot: Some parking spaces near the western end of the lot will be temporarily unavailable.
- Vehicle detours: Authorized and emergency vehicles will be able to access sites south of the closure via Putah Creek Lodge Drive. Flaggers will assist with large-vehicle movements when needed. Drivers may be redirected using Garrod Drive.
- Walk-your-wheels zone: Bikes and scooters will be asked to dismount and walk their vehicles on a portion of the path north of the Arboretum Waterway, near the Cole Facility and Animal Science Gateway Garden.

Tips for Using the Map
