Detour Map

As Big Shift construction crews dig trenches throughout the quad district in order to lay new hot water pipes, there will be many road closures and detours for vehicles, bikes and pedestrians. Stay up to date with the latest closures and detours below.

Using the Map

Tips for Using the Map Below

See the legend. Click the icon next to the title "Big Shift Detour Map." This toggles the map's legend to appear.
Zoom in. use your mouse's scroll wheel or track ball when hovered over the map portion.
Full screen. To view the map in full screen mode, click the "four corners" icon in the upper-right-hand corner of the map. (Once in full screen mode you can click on the plus and minus icons located in the lower-left-hand corner of the map.)
Detail view. To zoom in on a specific segment, click the title of that segment in the map's legend.

Current Closures

Shields Avenue: A portion of Shields Avenue between West Quad and Old Davis Road will be closed from Dec. 15 to Dec. 28.

Current Detours

Shields Avenue: Vehicular through traffic can use Hutchison Avenue to bypass the closure on Shields Avenue.
