Maintaining Campus Comfort
Although the goal of Big Shift is to heat our buildings more efficiently while reducing campus carbon emissions, your indoor comfort is still our priority. Our campus comfort feedback app, TherMOOstat, is the perfect tool for anyone on campus to report how their rooms feel.
While Big Shift is underway, there may be disruptions to regular building heating operations. Any feedback we receive from buildings affected by the construction will be closely monitored to ensure minimal impact on any business, research or academic activities.
How to report your comfort
- Visit https://thermoostat.ucdavis.edu/
- When prompted, input your building name and room number. The more specific you are, the better we can pinpoint any potential issues.
- Although not required, filling out the comment box with detailed information also helps our team understand what may be wrong. For example:
- How long has the room felt uncomfortable?
- Is it stuffy or is air constantly blowing?
- Was it uncomfortable only in the beginning when people have just entered?
- We like to see comfortable votes too! Comfortable votes tell us that everything is working properly and we will make sure to keep it that way.
